Mulch is the practice of covering the soil that improves conditions for plant growth that results in efficient crop production. For centuries dead leaves, compost, leaf straw had been utilized as the natural mulches, but for the last few decades rise of synthetic substances has changed the process and advantages of mulching.

Nova Mulch is a Dual Colored mulch film with Silver or White on the upper surface and Black on the lower surface. The upper surface reflects more light into the crop canopy resulting in the increase of photo synthetic activity and thereby the crop yield. The upper surface also repel certain sucking pests due to its reflective property that retains the beauty and quality of the fruit and eventually increasing the commercial value. The lower black surface makes the sunlight unavailable and resulting in the elimination of weeds.

Thin plastic sheet of mulch helps the crops grow through the slits . In general plastic mulch is used with drip irrigation. Mulching helps the soil to retain moisture, reduce erosion, provide nutrients, seed germination and suppress weed growth.
